First-Class Service When Building a Dental Website

Let's Talk About What Good Service Really Means When Building a Website

Building a website for a dental clinic throws up a good many related questions — ones you'll either have to solve yourself, or that a good developer will help you through.

You probably won't even know these questions exist at the very start of the journey. I'd like to walk you through them, and through the kind of help and support you can expect from me if you choose one of my ready-made website projects for dental clinics.

Focus on the strengths of your clinic

I'll show you a ready-made website project with a dedicated page for each common dental service — close to forty of them in total. As you try the project on for size against your own clinic, you may find that a particular area isn't covered quite as thoroughly as you'd like, and that you'd rather it took centre stage. You can rely on me to make that happen, free of charge.

A gnathologist contacted me recently, and although the site already had a page on TMJ diagnostics, he wanted several further pages on his future website dedicated to different aspects of his specialism: separate pages on axiography, bruxism, splint therapy, myography and TENS therapy.

Bruxism
Splint therapy
TMJ clicking treatment
TMJ pain
Axiography
Myography
TENS therapy
Articulator

We created eight additional pages, drew new icons, sourced new illustrations, and put in a good deal of work. His website now reflects every aspect of gnathology that hadn't previously featured on any of my sites. And, to repeat myself, all of this was done quickly and free of charge.

Help Choosing a Photographer and Planning Your Photoshoot

Choosing a photographer and worried about getting it wrong? Send me their portfolios and I'll give you recommendations, explaining my reasoning in detail. I'm always glad to help select a photographer for a client's shoot, since the beauty of the finished website depends, in part, on the quality of the photographs taken at the clinic. I have plenty of experience in this area myself — I was once into photography, and I remain close friends with a professional photographer. Simply send over a few photographers' portfolios and trust my judgement; I'll tell you plainly which one is likely to deliver the better result. To get the best possible outcome, I've written a detailed article on clinic photography, which helps client and photographer arrive at a shared understanding of exactly what result we're aiming for.

Portraits of doctors

Individual and group, horizontal and vertical. Portraits create a personal connection with the patient and emphasize the team's professionalism.

Storytelling photos

Patient reception, examination, X-ray, discussing a CT scan at the computer. Such shots help the website visitor imagine the treatment process and associate themselves with the model in the photo.

Storytelling photos

Product photography

Microscopes, scanners, models with crowns and aesthetic prosthetics, endodontic instruments, whitening systems, composite kits. Photograph equipment in clinic interiors or in the doctor's hands to showcase technological advancement.

Clinic interiors

Bright, clean photos of offices that look better than in reality. This enhances the perception of the quality of your practice.

Help Choosing a Domain

More often than not, when commissioning a website for a dental clinic, my client already has an existing site and domain — in around 90% of cases, we're replacing an underperforming clinic website. I always check whether the clinic's name is available in the more specialist domain zones too. Most clients are used to conventional addresses, and few realise there are dedicated international extensions that flag the medical specialism directly: .dental, .clinic, .dentist, .surgery, .doctor. Now and again we manage to secure a genuinely superb domain that matches the city name exactly — "cityname.dental". All else being equal, a website on a domain like this will consistently outrank others in search results.

The most beautiful, and shortest, domain a client has bought on my advice belongs to the leading dental laboratory in Armenia, DDC.

Sometimes we secure a domain matching the clinic's name exactly within the .clinic zone. This produces an excellent combination — a short, memorable web address that matches the clinic's name precisely: "clinicname.clinic".

Help in Writing Texts for the Website

When we build a dental clinic's website from a ready-made project, personalising it properly matters a great deal — and the introductory text from the dentist at the top of each page is an important part of that work.

I used to write these texts myself; then Maria began helping me, and she adopted my style perfectly — sincere, empathetic, informal. She wrote copy I remain proud of, because it's some of the best you'll read on any dental website. Her words are calming, they ease feelings of guilt and anxiety, they offer hope, and they help people finally decide to seek treatment.

Later, I started using artificial intelligence to write these texts instead. It produces good results — quickly, easily, and at no cost.

Now, when commissioning a website for your dental clinic, you can choose to write the introductory text yourself, or entrust it to artificial intelligence, guided by me. Almost everyone chooses the latter, gradually becoming more involved in populating the site themselves as time goes on, including rewriting the text where they see fit.

Help in Updating the Logo

I've written a detailed article on how I create logos for clients alongside their website.

In this article, I show and explain how affordable freelancers put logos together, and how you can follow the same route to create a beautiful logo independently — quickly, without endless revisions, and at almost no cost. Not every client needs a logo redesign, of course, but where I can see the existing logo is dated and would clash with a modern clinic website, I show clients what their logo could look like through my own eyes. More often than not, the suggestion is taken up. Like everything else I offer, this service is free.

I want to give clients not just an excellent product, but a genuinely high level of service — resolving every related issue around launching a new website, so they feel my involvement and care throughout.

Spam Protection

You're probably unaware this problem even exists. There are people who earn a living sending spam through any website with input fields. You want genuine feedback from patients, or to ask how their treatment went — instead, you receive advertising messages sent by bots. Naturally, protection against these bots keeps improving, but the people building the bots aren't standing still either.

At present, my contact forms are entirely protected from spam submissions and messages.

I've replaced the site modules where visitors leave their phone number and write messages whenever bots have started slipping through. I'm winning this particular arms race for now — spam simply doesn't reach my clients, something I'm genuinely proud of, and I intend to keep it that way.

I look at the websites of larger colleagues, presumably more sophisticated in their marketing, and I notice how they reduce their headline price only to raise the final bill later, through additional services sold along the way during the creation and design of a dental website. We see this tactic across many industries, of course, medicine included — but it isn't an approach I'm comfortable with. I put myself in the shoes of the clinic owner, and what I'd want, above all, is clarity about the cost of the website I've commissioned. These small extra charges, however minor they may seem individually, are genuinely stressful and distracting.

My offer is straightforward. You pay for the implementation of your clinic's website, based on a ready-made dental website project, and you know exactly what you're getting from the outset. You can be certain the quoted price won't change, and that all related work will be carried out free of charge, because it's already included in that price. This is one piece of good service I extend to every single client.
